The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate Science Teacher to deliver inspiring lessons and foster a love of discovery in students. This role offers the chance to make a real impact in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
  • Teach across multiple year groups, including A-level Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and collaboration.
  • Use varied assessment strategies to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
  • Differentiate teaching to support diverse learners, including EAL and SEN students.
  • Prepare students for Checkpoint, IGCSE, and A-level exams through structured lesson planning and revision.
  • Design and administer assessments in line with Cambridge standards.
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to support student growth and exam readiness.
  • Contribute to Science-related clubs, competitions, and enrichment activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development and school events such as Science Week and exhibitions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science (specialisation in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
  • Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed. or equivalent).
  • Cambridge International Curriculum training or certification.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience within the Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE or A-level).
  • Proven success in preparing students for external Cambridge assessments.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A-level Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach to working with students.
