The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a visionary Physical Education Teacher to lead the development of a school-wide sports programme that fosters both participation and athletic excellence. This role offers the chance to inspire students, build resilience, and create a culture of healthy living and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
  • Teach a range of sports, from foundational motor skills to team and individual sports, across all age groups.
  • Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE and A-level Physical Education through theory and practical instruction.
  • Create a safe and stimulating environment that supports student development in physical, social, and emotional areas.
  • Integrate technology to enhance learning and track student progress.
  • Lead and support co-curricular and competitive sports programmes, including inter-school tournaments and national competitions.
  • Organise and manage annual sporting events such as sports day, wellness weeks, and skill development camps.
  • Collaborate with Learning Support and Inclusion teams to implement Individual Education Plans and learning profiles.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching PE, preferably in a Cambridge, IB, or other international curriculum school.
  • Experience delivering both practical PE lessons and theory for IGCSE/A-level.
  • Proven success in coaching sports teams and leading athletic events.

Preferred

  • Certifications in coaching, first aid, child protection, or sports officiating.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations in inclusive environments.
