Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the Humanities curriculum.
  • Foster positive relationships with students and colleagues, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and individualized learning strategies.
  • Participate in departmental planning and curriculum development to ensure a stimulating and relevant learning experience.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, including enrichment programs and school events.
  • Monitor and report on student performance, working closely with support staff and parents where necessary.
  • Stay up to date with current educational research and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and wider educational network to enhance teaching and student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Humanities.
  • Experience in teaching at the secondary level (11-16).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
  • Experience in extracurricular or pastoral support roles.
  • Background in teaching English as a Second Language or supporting diverse student needs.
