The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher - History & Geography KS2-KS4 to deliver high-quality lessons and contribute to curriculum development. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher passionate about inspiring students and shaping their educational journey up to GCSE level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging History and Geography lessons to students across KS2 to KS4.
  • Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum that prepares students for GCSE examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s expansion to Year 11.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching resources and assessment strategies.
  • Participate in the management and leadership of a co-curricular club.
  • Work closely with parents and colleagues to ensure student progress and well-being.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through innovative and inspiring teaching.
  • Engage in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching History and Geography up to GCSE level.
  • Demonstrable experience in curriculum development and delivery for Years 7-11.
  • Strong track record in delivering outstanding results and student engagement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues and parents.
  • Experience in managing and leading a co-curricular club or similar extracurricular activity.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Religious Studies.
  • Willingness and/or experience in supporting the expansion of the school’s Year 11 provision.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
