The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our growing team and deliver high-quality education to students across KS3 and KS4. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student achievement and to contribute to a school on an exciting journey of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons with clear learning objectives.
  • Monitor student progress through effective assessment, marking, and use of data.
  • Support all students, including those with SEND and those who are gifted and talented.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the Faculty Improvement Plan.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Promote literacy and numeracy through innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and professional standards at all times.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified secondary teacher with strong subject knowledge.
  • Proven track record of consistently good or outstanding teaching.
  • Secure understanding of current curriculum requirements and teaching strategies.
  • Ability to manage behaviour positively and create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience with assessment and data to inform teaching practice.
  • Confidence in using technology to enhance learning.
  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles.
  • Background in working with diverse student groups, including those with special educational needs.
