The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our growing team and deliver high-quality education to students across KS3 and KS4. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student achievement and to contribute to a school on an exciting journey of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons with clear learning objectives.
- Monitor student progress through effective assessment, marking, and use of data.
- Support all students, including those with SEND and those who are gifted and talented.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the Faculty Improvement Plan.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Promote literacy and numeracy through innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and professional standards at all times.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified secondary teacher with strong subject knowledge.
- Proven track record of consistently good or outstanding teaching.
- Secure understanding of current curriculum requirements and teaching strategies.
- Ability to manage behaviour positively and create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Strong organisational skills and commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience with assessment and data to inform teaching practice.
- Confidence in using technology to enhance learning.
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles.
- Background in working with diverse student groups, including those with special educational needs.
