The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced RE and Humanities Teacher to inspire students and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role offers the chance to shape young minds and contribute to a dynamic, inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Religious Education and Humanities that promote critical thinking and curiosity.
  • Plan and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and supports their academic progress.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high standards of learning and achievement.
  • Engage in pastoral care and contribute to the school’s extra-curricular and community activities.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting Citizenship, Achievement, and Participation values in daily teaching and interactions.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and senior staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a specialism in Religious Education and Humanities
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical, hands-on learning
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and motivate students
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and raising outcomes for all learners
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Experience with safeguarding and pastoral care
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation
  • Familiarity with inclusive education strategies
  • Strong understanding of GCSE curriculum requirements
