The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and experienced RE and Humanities Teacher to inspire students and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role offers the chance to shape young minds and contribute to a dynamic, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Religious Education and Humanities that promote critical thinking and curiosity.
- Plan and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and supports their academic progress.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high standards of learning and achievement.
- Engage in pastoral care and contribute to the school’s extra-curricular and community activities.
- Support the school’s mission by promoting Citizenship, Achievement, and Participation values in daily teaching and interactions.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and senior staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a specialism in Religious Education and Humanities
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical, hands-on learning
- Experience in delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and motivate students
- Commitment to inclusive practice and raising outcomes for all learners
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Key Stages 3 and 4
- Experience with safeguarding and pastoral care
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation
- Familiarity with inclusive education strategies
- Strong understanding of GCSE curriculum requirements
