Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, personalised education to students with communication needs or severe, profound, or complex learning difficulties
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of all students
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports student progress
• Collaborate with internal and external support agencies to ensure student success
• Contribute to the school’s ongoing self-evaluation and improvement processes
• Support students in developing essential life skills through the school’s Curriculum for Life
• Take an active role in the day-to-day operations and culture of the school
• Promote the school’s mission of preparing students for independent living and future employment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified to teach in the UK
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with students with communication needs or severe, profound, or complex learning difficulties
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Preferred

• Experience in special educational needs settings
• Familiarity with the Curriculum for Life and its outcomes
• Experience with vocational education or work experience placements
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
