The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a strong and successful department. This is a full-time, fixed-term position initially covering a maternity leave, with the potential to become permanent. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and individualised learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental teaching and learning strategies.
  • Participate in curriculum development and contribute to the school’s maths vision.
  • Monitor and report on student performance, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the school’s ethos and achievements.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, including maths clubs and competitions.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant maths experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience of teaching GCSE maths or equivalent.
  • Commitment to student achievement and professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in early career teacher development.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
