The Opportunity:

As a PE Teacher, you will play a vital role in promoting physical health, teamwork, and lifelong fitness among students. You will lead a stimulating and positive PE curriculum, as well as contribute to an extensive after-school sports programme that supports student development and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across years 1 to 13, aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Develop and implement engaging sports activities and programmes that support student participation and skill development.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment that encourages student engagement and physical well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of inspiring and challenging students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual growth.
  • Participate in the school’s extracurricular activities and events, contributing to a vibrant and active school culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and programme outcomes.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree.
  • PGCE or PGDE and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Experience in teaching physical education at the secondary level.

Preferred

  • KS5 teaching experience.
  • Experience with after-school sports programmes.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and personal development.
