The Opportunity:
As a PE Teacher, you will play a vital role in promoting physical health, teamwork, and lifelong fitness among students. You will lead a stimulating and positive PE curriculum, as well as contribute to an extensive after-school sports programme that supports student development and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons across years 1 to 13, aligned with curriculum standards.
- Develop and implement engaging sports activities and programmes that support student participation and skill development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment that encourages student engagement and physical well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of inspiring and challenging students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual growth.
- Participate in the school’s extracurricular activities and events, contributing to a vibrant and active school culture.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and programme outcomes.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant bachelor’s degree.
- PGCE or PGDE and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Experience in teaching physical education at the secondary level.
Preferred
- KS5 teaching experience.
- Experience with after-school sports programmes.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to student well-being and personal development.
