The Opportunity:
As an Inclusion Leader, you will play a key role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will help create a restorative and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted support to students, removing barriers to learning and ensuring academic and emotional progress.
- Ensure full compliance with each student’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), particularly Section F interventions.
- Work closely with the Inclusion and Pastoral teams to coordinate and monitor personalised learning plans.
- Champion a restorative, relationship-driven approach to support vulnerable learners.
- Support the development and implementation of inclusive practices across the school.
- Coordinate with the Connect Manager and SENDCo to ensure statutory entitlements are consistently met.
- Provide tailored and flexible learning opportunities for students accessing the Connect provision.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of inclusive strategies that benefit all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education and restorative practices.
- Experience in developing and implementing individual learning plans.
- Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and statutory entitlements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in alternative provision or internal support settings.
- Experience with pastoral care and student well-being.
- Qualifications in special educational needs or inclusive education.
- Experience in a school setting within a multi-academy trust.
- Leadership experience within an inclusion or pastoral team.
