The Opportunity:

As an Inclusion Leader, you will play a key role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will help create a restorative and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted support to students, removing barriers to learning and ensuring academic and emotional progress.
  • Ensure full compliance with each student’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), particularly Section F interventions.
  • Work closely with the Inclusion and Pastoral teams to coordinate and monitor personalised learning plans.
  • Champion a restorative, relationship-driven approach to support vulnerable learners.
  • Support the development and implementation of inclusive practices across the school.
  • Coordinate with the Connect Manager and SENDCo to ensure statutory entitlements are consistently met.
  • Provide tailored and flexible learning opportunities for students accessing the Connect provision.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of inclusive strategies that benefit all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and restorative practices.
  • Experience in developing and implementing individual learning plans.
  • Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and statutory entitlements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in alternative provision or internal support settings.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student well-being.
  • Qualifications in special educational needs or inclusive education.
  • Experience in a school setting within a multi-academy trust.
  • Leadership experience within an inclusion or pastoral team.
