The Opportunity:
As an Inclusion Mentor, you will support students who require additional assistance to reach their full potential, while also working with gifted learners. This role is central to the school’s mission of creating an inclusive, empowering learning environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and deliver a differentiated curriculum tailored to the needs of inclusion students.
- Monitor and support the academic and personal development of students to help them achieve their individual potential.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to define appropriate learning activities aligned with the curriculum.
- Develop and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, focusing on pastoral care and child protection.
- Liaise with parents, guardians, and external professionals to ensure the needs of students are fully addressed.
- Participate in assessments, screeners, and reporting to support effective provision for students.
- Organize and lead learning experiences outside the classroom, such as school outings and community visits.
- Support the school’s vision by contributing to interdisciplinary curriculum development and sharing best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar or larger organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in IT for productivity and classroom learning.
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Commitment to the school’s vision, mission, and values.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Special Education.
- Experience in data analysis and report development.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL).
