Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with additional needs through tailored teaching strategies and individualized learning plans.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement effective support strategies.
  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons that promote student engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student support and interventions.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development to enhance inclusive teaching practices.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that respects and values diversity.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of super-curricular activities that support student development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A passion for Inclusion and working with young people.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that win respect and trust of all stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work towards shared goals.
  • An inquiring approach, willing to ask critical questions, to reflect, to learn and develop.
  • Acceptable police checks (or equivalent) from the country of origin and from all other countries in which the applicant has worked.
  • Appropriate references from current and previous employer, corroborated by personal phone calls made to each referee.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or supporting students with additional needs.
  • Experience working in an international or UK independent school setting.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A sense of humour and the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
