Individual Needs Assistant KS2 – Support a student in their educational development.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Individual Needs Assistant KS2 to support a student in their learning and personal development. This role involves working closely with the student to help them achieve their educational goals through tailored intervention programmes and individual educational plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the assigned student in their learning and personal development.
- Assist in implementing intervention programmes and individual educational plans.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and other support staff.
- Monitor and report on the student’s progress regularly.
- Encourage and motivate the student to reach their full potential.
- Provide one-to-one assistance tailored to the student’s needs.
- Maintain accurate records of the student’s progress and interventions.
- Collaborate with the school’s pastoral and academic teams to ensure a cohesive support strategy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with individual learning needs.
- A commitment to supporting student welfare and development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of educational support strategies and intervention plans.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of special educational needs and disability (SEND) support.
- Experience with KS2 curriculum and teaching methods.
- First aid or similar training.
