The Opportunity:

As a Duty Manager within the Catering and Hospitality team, you will provide senior operational management during your shifts, ensuring the smooth running of front-of-house services and maintaining high standards of customer experience. This is a brand-new role offering an opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee front-of-house catering and hospitality services during allocated shifts.
  • Ensure high standards of service, staffing, and customer experience are maintained at all times.
  • Support the delivery of both core feeding and hospitality operations.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff during your shift.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service across the institution.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to service delivery and operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within catering, hospitality, or a customer-facing service environment.
  • A good working knowledge of front-of-house operations and service standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and term-time plus availability.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing a team or providing training to staff.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a hospitality setting.
  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
