The Opportunity:
As an IT Support Technician (Level 1), you will provide frontline technical support across the organisation, resolving routine IT incidents and delivering a consistent customer support experience. This is a key role in ensuring the school’s IT systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support to users, resolving common technical issues within defined procedures.
- Escalate complex, infrastructure-level, or security-related issues to senior IT staff as appropriate.
- Maintain and support end-user devices across Windows and Apple environments.
- Ensure a consistent and reliable customer support experience for all users.
- Follow established procedures and documentation to deliver efficient and effective support.
- Communicate clearly with users and colleagues to resolve technical problems.
- Assist with the implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support processes and services.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in providing first-line IT support or working in an IT helpdesk environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Apple operating systems.
- Understanding of basic IT support and customer service principles.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience with IT ticketing systems or helpdesk software.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure and security basics.
- Previous experience in an educational setting or similar organisation.
- Knowledge of mobile device management and cloud-based services.
