The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Maths Teacher to join a thriving department and make a meaningful impact on students’ learning. The role involves teaching at both Further Mathematics Advanced Level and/or IB Higher Level, with the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic co-curricular programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics to Further Mathematics Advanced Level and/or IB Higher Level with enthusiasm and expertise.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire a love of Maths in students.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Maths Department’s curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Support students through individualised pastoral care and academic guidance.
  • Participate actively in the school’s co-curricular programme, including extracurricular activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and assess students’ work in line with the school’s high academic standards.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and incorporate new ideas into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong academic background in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Further Mathematics Advanced Level and/or IB Higher Level.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a demanding workload.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an independent school environment.
  • Experience with co-curricular programme development or delivery.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods or technologies.
