The Opportunity:

As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing first-line IT support to staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the school’s IT systems. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a reliable IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, and the ticketing system
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Set up and configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
  • Assist with user account management and password resets
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the efficient operation of school systems
  • Provide support during technical events outside of core hours when required
  • Maintain up-to-date records of IT incidents and resolutions
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in IT support

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong technical competence with experience working with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with networking concepts such as Wi-Fi and LAN
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in providing first-line IT support

Preferred

  • Experience with IT ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and user account management
  • Experience with mobile device configuration
  • Understanding of school IT environments and requirements
