The Opportunity:

As an IT Technician, you will ensure the smooth operation of IT services across the school, supporting staff and students with technical needs. This is a key role in maintaining the school’s digital infrastructure and enabling effective teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to IT support requests in line with Help Desk procedures and SLAs.
  • Install, maintain, and support IT hardware and services across the school.
  • Assist with Trust-wide IT projects by performing testing and providing detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to ensure all IT systems are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
  • Provide timely and effective solutions to technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Maintain accurate records of all IT-related activities and support cases.
  • Stay updated with the latest IT best practices, products, and statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of IT best practices and current technologies.
  • Ability to work within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with IT helpdesk procedures and SLA management.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure and cloud-based systems.
  • Experience with IT project management or testing processes.
