The Opportunity:
As an IT Technician, you will ensure the smooth operation of IT services across the school, supporting staff and students with technical needs. This is a key role in maintaining the school’s digital infrastructure and enabling effective teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to IT support requests in line with Help Desk procedures and SLAs.
- Install, maintain, and support IT hardware and services across the school.
- Assist with Trust-wide IT projects by performing testing and providing detailed reports.
- Collaborate with team leaders to ensure all IT systems are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
- Provide timely and effective solutions to technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Maintain accurate records of all IT-related activities and support cases.
- Stay updated with the latest IT best practices, products, and statutory requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services across the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of IT best practices and current technologies.
- Ability to work within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with IT helpdesk procedures and SLA management.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and cloud-based systems.
- Experience with IT project management or testing processes.
