Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of a positive school culture and ethos that promotes student achievement and well-being.
  • Work closely with the Vice Principal and senior leadership team to shape the strategic vision and drive the school forward.
  • Take responsibility for key subject areas and ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that raise standards and improve outcomes for all students.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including staff, parents, and the wider community.
  • Promote and model the school’s core values of respect, collaboration, and integrity.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s curriculum and ensure alignment with the International Baccalaureate framework.
  • Contribute to the professional development of staff and the continuous improvement of teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a secondary school setting, preferably in a non-selective environment.
  • Demonstrated success in raising standards and improving student outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and the belief that all students can achieve their potential.
  • Experience in strategic planning and the ability to contribute to the long-term vision of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational partnership.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
  • Experience in leading whole-school initiatives or projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of inspiring and motivating staff.
  • Experience in managing and developing key subject areas within a school.
