The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our collaborative and successful inclusion team. This role offers the opportunity to support students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise students during lessons and at lunchtimes.
- Work with individuals or groups of students to address learning targets identified in their individual learning plans.
- Promote and reinforce students’ self-esteem, independence, and participation within the school community.
- Support students who may exhibit challenging behaviour, are disaffected, or have learning difficulties and complex needs.
- Participate in the planning process to advise teachers on strategies as necessary.
- Assist in the delivery of intervention and support programmes.
- Provide assistance in the development of learning resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support students with a range of learning needs and behaviours.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or learning support roles.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
- Experience with students who have complex needs or learning difficulties.
- Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
