Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching in engineering to students aged 16-19.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements and challenge students.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Support students in preparing for further education, training, or employment in engineering-related fields.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and resilience.
  • Encourage students to develop the virtues of curiosity, grit, and self-control through character education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in engineering or a related subject.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and character development.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning in a sixth form setting.
  • Experience in working with students aged 16-19.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Applied Technical Qualifications or A Levels.
  • Background in the engineering industry or relevant sector.
  • Experience with teaching unqualified teachers or supporting new teachers.
  • Familiarity with the CTK Graces character development programme.
  • Demonstrated success in inspiring and motivating students to achieve their potential.
