Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching in engineering to students aged 16-19.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements and challenge students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Support students in preparing for further education, training, or employment in engineering-related fields.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and resilience.
- Encourage students to develop the virtues of curiosity, grit, and self-control through character education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in engineering or a related subject.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and character development.
- Ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning in a sixth form setting.
- Experience in working with students aged 16-19.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering Applied Technical Qualifications or A Levels.
- Background in the engineering industry or relevant sector.
- Experience with teaching unqualified teachers or supporting new teachers.
- Familiarity with the CTK Graces character development programme.
- Demonstrated success in inspiring and motivating students to achieve their potential.
