The Opportunity:

As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing essential technical support to both staff and students, ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems across the school. This is a dynamic role that requires a proactive approach to maintaining and improving the school's IT infrastructure, with a focus on delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of classroom and administrative IT equipment.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of devices for both staff and students.
  • Maintain and monitor the performance of IT systems to ensure high standards of service.
  • Collaborate with the Network Manager to address complex IT requests and implement solutions.
  • Proactively identify and resolve IT issues before they impact teaching and learning.
  • Participate in the maintenance and troubleshooting of classroom technology.
  • Ensure all IT systems are up-to-date and secure.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in providing technical support in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Experience with classroom technology and device deployment.

Preferred

  • Experience with IT systems in a secondary school environment.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and security protocols.
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on student development and extra-curricular activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
