The Opportunity:

A Junior Teaching Assistant is needed to support the learning and welfare of children in the classroom. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners and contribute to a dynamic, supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning of children in Year 3 or Year 4, and provide cover as required across the Infant School
  • Work closely with class teachers to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Assist in the management of classroom activities and ensure a safe, positive learning environment
  • Promote the welfare and emotional wellbeing of students
  • Contribute to the school’s mission by fostering a culture of kindness, integrity, and academic excellence
  • Support the development of individual students through personalized attention and encouragement
  • Participate in school events and activities that enhance the learning experience
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teachers and parents

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A genuine passion for working with children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with staff and students
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values
  • Experience or training in education or childcare

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role
