The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join its dynamic department. The role involves teaching Biology and Chemistry up to KS4 and one of those subjects to KS5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology and Chemistry up to KS4 and one of those subjects to KS5.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire student interest and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized guidance and feedback.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education.
  • Ability to teach Biology and Chemistry up to KS4 and one of those subjects to KS5.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school with a strong focus on student development.
  • Familiarity with the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) ethos and values.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Science teaching.
  • Strong track record in student achievement and engagement.
