The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and schemes of work
- Set and mark class and homework tasks to support student progress and attainment
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and abilities of Key Stage 1 pupils
- Maintain a classroom environment that encourages effective learning and celebrates student achievement
- Work collaboratively with specialist teachers, teaching assistants, and other staff members
- Support and maintain regular communication with parents through the Parent Portal and other channels
- Contribute to school events, marketing initiatives, and school publications
- Organise and lead a class assembly annually
- Provide cover lesson plans in the event of absence
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant postgraduate teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1
- Strong subject knowledge and commitment to delivering a high-quality curriculum
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take ownership of responsibilities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High expectations of student behaviour, attainment, and progress
Preferred
- Experience with whole-school initiatives and professional development
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction
- Experience with pastoral care and student support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and a willingness to embrace new challenges
