The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in KS1 or Reception, tailored to the needs of all learners.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and specialist staff to support student progress.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, using data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
  • Implement and adapt the Read Write Inc phonics scheme where appropriate to enhance early literacy.
  • Support the school’s vision by promoting a culture of high expectations, innovation, and community.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and development of students through extra-curricular and pastoral activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in KS1 or EYFS education.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive and child-centred teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Read Write Inc phonics scheme.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in supporting children with diverse learning needs.
