The Opportunity:

Join a forward-thinking Maths team at a school dedicated to delivering high-quality education and inspiring students. The role involves teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths, with the possibility of some KS5 teaching. This is a full-time, permanent position offering growth and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote student achievement and a love of learning in Mathematics
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and attainment
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the Maths department’s overall effectiveness
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Maths curriculum and educational research
  • Support students in preparing for examinations and assessments
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and attainment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Experience in teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student achievement and professional development

Preferred

  • Experience with KS5 teaching
  • Experience in a school with a strong Ofsted rating
  • Familiarity with teaching in a multi-academy trust
  • Experience with educational technology and innovative teaching methods
  • Experience working with diverse student groups
