The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join its Junior School team. The role involves delivering high-quality lessons, supporting student wellbeing, and contributing to the school’s vibrant community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across Key Stage 2 in line with the school’s curriculum and policies.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback and writing regular reports.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, taking responsibility for the wellbeing and personal development of students.
  • Foster positive relationships, maintain high standards of behaviour, and create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with Learning Support staff, Senior Leaders, and other colleagues to support students academically and pastorally.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school by running lunchtime and after-school clubs and supporting curriculum and enrichment activities.
  • Attend assemblies, meetings, INSET, parents’ evenings, and other key school events.
  • Occasionally participate in Saturday activities, such as Open Days and admissions events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 2 education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to co-curricular activities.
  • Experience with form tutoring or student mentoring.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
