KS2 Class Teacher - Full-Time Maternity Cover in London Borough of Islington

The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school values.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support the academic and personal growth of students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and enrichment activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Engage with parents and carers through regular communication and school events.
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6) within a UK school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience with Humanities and Global Citizenship curriculum.
- Familiarity with enrichment programs such as Duke of Edinburgh Award, music, drama, or sports.
- Experience in leading or contributing to school-wide initiatives or projects.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and resources for teaching and learning.
