The Opportunity:

Join a dedicated team of educators as a Teaching Assistant, playing a vital role in supporting student development both inside and outside the classroom. This is a 12-month maternity cover position, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality education to students in EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and classroom organisation.
  • Provide individualised support to students, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Participate in school events and activities that enhance student engagement and learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers.
  • Uphold the school’s values, including safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification.
  • A genuine passion for working with children.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values, including safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in early years or primary education.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with child development and best practices in education.
  • Experience with supporting students with diverse learning needs.
