The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality maths lessons that engage and challenge students at Key Stage 3.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to co-plan, share ideas, and develop best practice across the department and school.
- Support students in achieving their full potential and ensuring they have Bright Futures through effective teaching and pastoral care.
- Stay up to date with pedagogical research and integrate it into classroom practice.
- Contribute to the development of a well-resourced and forward-thinking maths curriculum.
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s values.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, as well as staff development opportunities.
- Support students’ learning through formative and summative assessments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching maths at Key Stage 3.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
- Ability to engage students in active learning and demonstrate a reflective approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos and values, including Love Learning, Show Kindness, Build Character, Chase Brilliance, and Bright Futures.
Preferred
- Experience teaching to Key Stage 5.
- Familiarity with the Bishopshalt Experience and co-curricular opportunities.
- Experience with professional development and reflective practice.
- Strong presentation and leadership skills.
