Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Media Studies department, ensuring high academic standards and student engagement.
  • Develop and deliver innovative and challenging curricula at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding results and preparing for future careers in media.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
  • Manage departmental resources and ensure the effective use of technology in teaching.
  • Promote extracurricular opportunities and student enrichment in Media Studies.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through staff development and leadership initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Media Studies at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a department effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge of current and emerging media trends and technologies.
  • A track record of achieving outstanding student results.
  • Commitment to student development and personal growth.
