Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the development of the maths curriculum, ensuring it is engaging and meets the needs of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to co-plan and share best practice across the department and school.
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning, with a focus on Key Stage 5 and a strong grasp of subject knowledge.
- Promote a culture of continuous professional learning and reflective practice.
- Support students in achieving their full potential, with a commitment to Bright Futures and improving life chances.
- Work closely with the Leadership Team to implement school-wide strategies and initiatives.
- Contribute to the school’s ethos by modelling and upholding its core values.
- Engage with the broader school community, including parents and students, to foster a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 5 is desirable.
- Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
- Proven ability to reflect on and improve teaching practice.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and pedagogical approaches.
- Experience with data analysis and student progress tracking.
- Background in leading professional development sessions for colleagues.
