Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of the maths curriculum, ensuring it is engaging and meets the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to co-plan and share best practice across the department and school.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning, with a focus on Key Stage 5 and a strong grasp of subject knowledge.
  • Promote a culture of continuous professional learning and reflective practice.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential, with a commitment to Bright Futures and improving life chances.
  • Work closely with the Leadership Team to implement school-wide strategies and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the school’s ethos by modelling and upholding its core values.
  • Engage with the broader school community, including parents and students, to foster a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 5 is desirable.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to reflect on and improve teaching practice.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and pedagogical approaches.
  • Experience with data analysis and student progress tracking.
  • Background in leading professional development sessions for colleagues.
