A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Language Teacher (French/Spanish) to join its founding team and help shape a new, community-focused through-school. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a curriculum and pedagogy that blends academic excellence with international perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality language acquisition programmes in French and Spanish for PYP and MYP students.
  • Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB and UK National Curriculum standards.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to shape the school’s pedagogical approach and curriculum development.
  • Support students in developing language skills, cultural awareness, and intercultural understanding.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement and growth.
  • Engage in school-wide initiatives that promote the school’s mission and values.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to support learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PYP and MYP language acquisition.
  • Strong command of French and Spanish, with the ability to teach both languages at an advanced level.
  • Proven experience in delivering IB and/or UK National Curriculum-based programmes.
  • Commitment to the IB learner profile and international-mindedness.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, values-driven environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum design and development.
  • Background in teaching within an international school setting.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
  • Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on leadership roles within the school.
