Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Mandarin lessons to students across a range of age groups.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the British educational standards and the school’s values.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school’s academic and cultural life.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject, with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Mandarin in a UK or international school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and its application in a global context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school with a strong emphasis on tradition, character development, and holistic education.
  • Familiarity with co-curricular activities and student leadership programs.
  • Experience in a school with a House System or similar structure.
  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to support bilingual students.
