Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Physical Education lessons aligned with the Edexcel specification.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that supports student well-being.
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies that reflect the National Curriculum for England and Wales.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning and student engagement.
  • Promote a culture of resilience, teamwork, and personal growth through sport and physical activity.
  • Identify and address safeguarding concerns, ensuring the well-being of all students.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s PE program.
  • Support the pastoral care of students, ensuring a balanced approach to academic and social development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Physical Education Teacher with appropriate teaching qualifications (e.g., B.Ed. or PGCE).
  • Proven experience teaching Physical Education to GCSE and A Level students using the Edexcel specification.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and Wales and its assessment practices.
  • Strong commitment to student well-being and the ability to support pastoral care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive approach to professional development.
  • Availability to join the school in August 2026.

Preferred

  • Experience in a British curriculum school or international school setting.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving outstanding student results in PE.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills within a team environment.
