Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Physical Education lessons aligned with the Edexcel specification.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that supports student well-being.
- Develop and implement assessment strategies that reflect the National Curriculum for England and Wales.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning and student engagement.
- Promote a culture of resilience, teamwork, and personal growth through sport and physical activity.
- Identify and address safeguarding concerns, ensuring the well-being of all students.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s PE program.
- Support the pastoral care of students, ensuring a balanced approach to academic and social development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Physical Education Teacher with appropriate teaching qualifications (e.g., B.Ed. or PGCE).
- Proven experience teaching Physical Education to GCSE and A Level students using the Edexcel specification.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and Wales and its assessment practices.
- Strong commitment to student well-being and the ability to support pastoral care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive approach to professional development.
- Availability to join the school in August 2026.
Preferred
- Experience in a British curriculum school or international school setting.
- Demonstrated success in achieving outstanding student results in PE.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills within a team environment.
