The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Spanish Teacher to join our founding team and help shape a new, community-focused through-school. This role offers the chance to influence curriculum, pedagogy, and school culture within a progressive, inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a high-quality Spanish curriculum aligned with IB and UK National Curriculum standards.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and language acquisition.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement innovative teaching strategies and cross-curricular projects.
  • Support student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing meaningful feedback and guidance.
  • Engage with the school community through parent-teacher meetings, professional development, and school events.
  • Promote the values of Learn with Purpose, Live with Compassion, and Lead with Courage within the classroom and beyond.
  • Stay current with best practices in language teaching and international education.
  • Contribute to the development of school policies, programs, and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Spanish at a primary or secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB and UK National Curriculum frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive and student-centered teaching practices.
  • Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in a PYP or MYP setting.
  • Familiarity with the IB Learner Profile and international education standards.
  • Experience with curriculum development and school leadership.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and lead in a new or evolving educational setting.
