The Opportunity:

As a Law Teacher, you will inspire and educate students at A-Level and BTEC, cultivating a deep understanding of legal principles and critical thinking. You will play a key role in shaping students' academic and professional futures within the Windsor Learning Partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a visionary Law curriculum across A-Level and BTEC, challenging students to exceed expectations in legal theory and statutory interpretation.
  • Lead the planning and sequencing of Law modules, ensuring relevance to real-world readiness and fostering determination.
  • Collaborate with other institutions to provide equitable and enriching Law opportunities for all students.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that foster a passion for legal debate and case analysis.
  • Promote a classroom environment where students feel confident to take intellectual risks.
  • Implement effective differentiation strategies for all learners, including those with special educational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attainment and manage BTEC internal verification processes.
  • Ensure students have access to current legal materials and digital resources.
  • Use data to identify underachieving students and implement targeted interventions.
  • Organise and promote Law-related enrichment activities such as Mock Trial competitions and university masterclasses.
  • Develop links with the local legal community to provide real-world insights and career opportunities.
  • Support students with UCAS applications, LNAT preparation, and law-based apprenticeship pathways.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care of students, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Law at A-Level and BTEC.
  • Strong knowledge of legal theory, statutory interpretation, and relevant modules such as Criminal, Tort, and Public Law.
  • Experience in curriculum development and planning.
  • Ability to differentiate effectively for all learners, including those with special educational needs.
  • Familiarity with BTEC internal verification processes.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to academic leadership initiatives.
  • Experience with extra-curricular activities such as Mock Trial competitions or university masterclasses.
  • Experience in supporting students with UCAS applications or LNAT preparation.
  • Experience in developing links with the legal profession or industry partners.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student welfare support.
