Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Religious Education lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Support the development and delivery of the school’s Church School Ethos.
  • Raise attainment in RE through innovative teaching methods and assessment strategies.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme and pastoral care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
  • Provide individualised support and high aspirations for all students.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments in line with school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Education.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to the Christian values of courage, compassion, and commitment.
  • Ability to teach across all key stages, including A Level.
  • Experience in raising student attainment in RE.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Church of England school or similar setting.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Evidence of professional development in RE or related subjects.
