The Opportunity:

As a Lead Practitioner Mathematics, you will play a key role in driving curriculum development and supporting staff across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced teacher to take on a leadership role and contribute to the school’s mission of excellence in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead curriculum initiatives across KS3-KS5, ensuring alignment with high standards and student outcomes.
  • Support and coach trainee teachers and other staff to enhance teaching practices and student achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning and other leaders to shape whole-school CPD and professional development.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Mathematics, inspiring students to achieve their maximum potential.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and implementation of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice, and professional growth.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students are prioritized in all aspects of teaching and leadership.
  • Work closely with the Maths faculty to drive improvement and innovation in Mathematics education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Mathematics across KS3-KS5 with a track record of securing excellent student outcomes.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Mathematics curricula and assessment requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching and supporting staff development.
  • Experience in successful leadership at a middle or senior level.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum design and implementation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in whole-school CPD development.
  • Passion for Mathematics and a commitment to student success.
