The Opportunity:

As a Learn to Swim Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Learn to Swim Centre, ensuring high standards of teaching and wellbeing. This role is ideal for someone passionate about swimming instruction and committed to supporting the school’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day running of the Learn to Swim Centre.
  • Work closely with the LTS Coordinator and Community Facilities Manager.
  • Support the school’s Community Use programme and promote its mission and ethos.
  • Motivate swimmers, staff, and volunteers to uphold the school’s standards.
  • Implement policies and procedures that reflect the school’s vision and values.
  • Ensure a safe and engaging environment for all swimmers.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in swimming instruction and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in swimming instruction or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or community setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and safety in water.
  • Experience with managing volunteers or staff.
  • Familiarity with swimming qualifications and standards.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate (£15.08 – £16.10 per hour).
