Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students of all abilities
  • Collaborate with the Head of Science to enhance teaching and learning strategies
  • Support the development and implementation of science curriculum innovations
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with colleagues to improve standards of learning and achievement
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to staff training
  • Ensure the effective use of resources and facilities
  • Uphold and promote the school’s values and ethos

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in science education
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
  • Strong leadership and team-working skills
  • Commitment to student achievement and wellbeing
  • Familiarity with national curriculum and teaching standards

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or innovation
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience
  • Experience with safeguarding and student welfare
  • Knowledge of sustainable development and environmental education
