Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging science lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
  • Plan and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support school-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Support extracurricular activities and events that promote science and STEM learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (QTS).
  • Experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a classroom environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching a range of Science subjects (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
  • Experience with newly qualified teachers or working in a Multi Academy Trust.
  • Experience with inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
  • Experience with using technology in the classroom to enhance learning.
