Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging science lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
- Plan and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Support extracurricular activities and events that promote science and STEM learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (QTS).
- Experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
- Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a classroom environment.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching a range of Science subjects (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- Experience with newly qualified teachers or working in a Multi Academy Trust.
- Experience with inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
- Experience with using technology in the classroom to enhance learning.
