Key Responsibilities:
- Support the educational and social development of pupils in classes, small groups, and individually
- Assist pupils to learn effectively in group and one-to-one settings
- Implement strategies to support the learning and pastoral needs of assigned pupils
- Manage pupils in line with school policies and guidance from specialists
- Carry out specific duties outlined in EHCPs and support plans
- Promote positive behaviour and inclusion in the classroom
- Adapt materials to support pupils in accessing the curriculum
- Work collaboratively with the teaching and learning support teams
- Build positive relationships with pupils and their families
- Use ICT tools to support teaching and classroom organisation
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Excellent organisational skills and resilience
- Empathetic approach with a belief in the potential of every child
- Confident use of ICT for teaching and classroom organisation
Preferred
- Experience in learning support or education
- Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Experience with differentiated teaching strategies
- Commitment to professional development and innovative practice
