Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the educational and social development of pupils in classes, small groups, and individually
  • Assist pupils to learn effectively in group and one-to-one settings
  • Implement strategies to support the learning and pastoral needs of assigned pupils
  • Manage pupils in line with school policies and guidance from specialists
  • Carry out specific duties outlined in EHCPs and support plans
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion in the classroom
  • Adapt materials to support pupils in accessing the curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching and learning support teams
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and their families
  • Use ICT tools to support teaching and classroom organisation

Required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Excellent organisational skills and resilience
  • Empathetic approach with a belief in the potential of every child
  • Confident use of ICT for teaching and classroom organisation

Preferred

  • Experience in learning support or education
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Experience with differentiated teaching strategies
  • Commitment to professional development and innovative practice
