The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development in both classroom and after-school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEND in the classroom and during after-school care.
  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences tailored to individual needs.
  • Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
  • Follow all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 qualification in education or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support the school’s ethos.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Experience with teaching assistants or learning support roles.
  • Flexibility to work in both classroom and after-school care environments.
