The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a motivated PE Assistant to support the PE and Games departments, with a focus on netball and hockey. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in education and contribute to the development of young students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of PE and Games lessons across a range of sports.
  • Assist in coaching netball and hockey, including training and match-day activities.
  • Provide support to younger students in other lessons where required.
  • Collaborate with the PE and Games departments to enhance the sporting experience for students.
  • Contribute to the development of sports programs and events throughout the school year.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all sporting activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and participation.
  • Assist with the organization of sports fixtures and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Enthusiasm for sports and physical education.
  • Ability to coach a variety of sports, with a focus on netball and hockey.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working with children and promoting their well-being.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and support the school’s mission.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in coaching or teaching sports.
  • Experience working with young students in an educational setting.

  • A relevant qualification in sports coaching or education.
