The Opportunity:

As a Pastoral Office Administrator, you will support the operational leadership and management of the Pastoral Office, ensuring smooth running and compliance in safeguarding and attendance. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student well-being and school operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operational leadership and management of the Pastoral Office.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and attendance responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage administrative processes efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, staff, and external agencies.
  • Provide sensitive and compassionate support in challenging situations.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and internal teams to ensure student welfare.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of pastoral policies and procedures.
  • Support the Senior School in maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in an administrative or pastoral support role within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Proficiency in using administrative software and office systems.

Preferred

  • Experience in a co-educational or independent school environment.
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures.
  • Experience with attendance management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in education.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £31,200 to £35,200 (Full time equivalent £39,000 to £44,000).
