Summary:

Engineering Lecturer position available in East London with 36 hours per week.

As an Engineering Lecturer, you will play a key role in helping students achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning materials across a range of modules and levels, including Higher Education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning and teaching materials for engineering students.
  • Teach across a range of modules and levels, including Higher Education.
  • Contribute to the implementation of effective teaching strategies and policies.
  • Support the continuous improvement of learning and teaching practices.
  • Engage with students and inspire them to achieve high standards of performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment with institutional goals and industry standards.
  • Stay up to date with developments in engineering education and incorporate new practices into teaching.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching BTEC or T Levels at Level 3 with specialisms in electrical/electronics or mechanical manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality learning resources.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in Higher Education teaching.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard engineering practices.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Previous involvement in curriculum development or assessment design.
