The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Lead, you will provide strategic leadership in supporting students with special educational needs. This role is pivotal in ensuring inclusive practices that empower every learner to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement specialized learning support programmes tailored to individual student needs.
• Oversee the development and review of Individual Learning Passports for students with additional needs.
• Advocate for neurodiverse students and ensure their needs are met across the school community.
• Analyse data on student progress and provide insights to improve support strategies.
• Lead and manage a team of Learning Support teachers and School Counsellors.
• Collaborate with academic leaders, teachers, and parents to promote inclusive practices.
• Deliver professional development on SEN, inclusion, and wellbeing.
• Promote a culture of equity, respect, and inclusion throughout the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A recognised Degree in Special Educational Needs, Learning Support, or School Counselling.
• Proven middle leadership experience within a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of SEN frameworks and inclusive education practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred

• Experience in international, IB, Montessori, or Waldorf education settings.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external professionals.
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding in the education sector.
