The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across all year groups. This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of students while developing your own professional skills and career in SEND.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting SEND students in lessons across all year groups
  • Liaising with staff, parents, and students to ensure SEND students reach their full potential
  • Building strong relationships with students and acting as a keyworker for those with more complex needs
  • Developing and sharing effective strategies for supporting SEND students with colleagues
  • Engaging in continuous professional development opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good levels of numeracy and literacy (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths)
  • A positive and resilient attitude
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to meet student needs
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the individual needs of students

Preferred

  • Experience in working with students with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of SEND support strategies
  • Previous experience in education or related fields
